Deer Creek Equestrian Center is owned and operated by Dennis and Kim Strong and combines a relaxing, peaceful environment with amenities for riders and horses alike. Nestled in the foothills between Lincoln and Auburn, the 10+ acre facility is surrounded by gently rolling hills and open fields, and shaded by oak and cottonwood trees.

The Equestrian Center’s horse facilities include a 100x180' covered and lighted arena, 60' round pen, an outdoor arena, a trail course, 12x12 matted stalls with 12x12 paddocks, and turnout pastures.

Sienna Ranch is owned and operated by a local family and is a family oriented facility, offering horseback riding, archery, art, and outdoor education programs. The ranch is centrally located near the Hwy. 24 and Hwy. 680 interchange, making it easily accessible from Oakland, Lamorinda, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Concord. The 20+ acre ranch is surrounded by oak-studded hills and open fields, and backs up to Briones Regional park. Besides the horses, a small menagerie of other animals, including chickens, a peacock, goats, sheep, and rabbits call the ranch home.

The ranch’s horse facilities include an approximately 60x100' lighted arena, 60' lighted round pen, direct trail access into Briones Regional park, large hillside pastures, and shelters with large paddocks.

For Bay Area beginning riding students, I recommend first enrolling in the Sienna Ranch Horse Experience program before starting riding lessons.
